FLATS CHALLENGE 2012

If Myah were still in dypees I would so be doing the  Flats Challenge this year.  Cloth diapering can be so much fun, with all the prints and styles out there to choose from, it can also get very confusing!  I want to spend some time talking about flats and how to utilize them, not only in the challenge but in your day to day diapering routine.....

Flat dypees have been around F O R E V E R! Although they are one of the most versitile dypees they are scary to some mamas due to learning folds and getting this big piece of fabric to end up doing your kiddo any good!!  I will be refering to the flats I make here at Dippee Dypees when I talk, so to refrence, I make the 29x29 size for newborns to about 3 months and the 32x32 for everybody else.  My flats are made of a single layer of bamboo interlock.  What is bamboo interlock you ask?!  Well, it is a 70%bamboo 30% cotton double jersey fabric, in mama terms...its soft, squishy, comes in colors, is affordable and works great!!!

Ok, so you want to try out flats, whether for the challenge itself of just to try something new in your routine.  Let me give you some good info on them :)  They wash well, dry fast and you are not going to have any stink issues... They are bamboo, so you are getting, antibacterial, antifungal, breathable materials on your babies bum!  No elastic!!  Alot of folds to choose from.  You can even just fold into a pad and stuff your pockets with them, use them as layin soakers for nap time or bedtime in your fitteds, they are an economical and versitile assest to your stash!  You can use a snappi or boingos or layin options, these are just handy to have around!!

The top is a salmon/pale pink, then a cornflower blue and a sage green.  These are soft, and stretchy, absorbant and AFFORDABLE!
